Rodgers Reacts to Jets' Loss vs. 49ers

The New York Jets had a simply disappointing start to their 2024 season, losing 32-19 to the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night.

After a meticulous first quarter touchdown drive gave the Jets an early 7-3 lead, the Aaron Rodgers-led offense was only able to reach the episode one more time before Rodgers was benched late in the game with an insurmountable deficit.

"I can play better," Rodgers said. "I missed a couple of throws, I missed the one to Garrett [Wilson[ on the last drive I was in. The pick, I missed just slightly inside on that one. I felt overall I was getting the ball out pretty good, but we had some opportunities that I'd like to have back."

Rodgers also responded to the theory that him and his offense simply need more time to build chemistry.

"We expect greatness when we step on the field," said Rodgers. "There were moments, for sure, moments that felt really good, but they were not sustained. I felt like if we could just get a first down, we'd be rolling. Then we had those 3-and-outs, which hurt us."

In his first game back since tearing his achilles just four snaps into his Jets debut in 2023, Rodgers finished his second start with 167 passing yards, a passing touchdown and an interception. Most importantly, though, Rodgers finished the game fully-healthy and will be ready to play in Week 2.

When your offensive line gets blown off the line by a great defense oops !! But the drive the Jets did have was great!! 49ers kept Roger's off the field!! Great game plan!!
