It's kind of hard to believe that Buccaneers starting quarterback Baker Mayfield is currently in his seventh NFL season but, at long last, the 29-year-old finally appears to have found a true home in Tampa Bay.

After being selected No. 1 overall by the Cleveland Browns in 2018 following the team's disastrous 0-16 season, the expectations riding on Mayfield's shoulders were rather massive for a franchise desperately seeking a significant revival. As most NFL fans are likely more than well aware of, things did not pan out all that well for Mayfield, the "Dawg Pound" or Browns ownership.

A change of scenery seemed to make the most sense for everyone involved and now—three years removed from those days in Cleveland—Mayfield is thriving in his second season as the Bucs starting QB, along with a freshly minted three-year contract after leading the team to the playoffs in 2023.

With the Buccaneers starting off their 2024 campaign by handing the Washington Commanders a 37-20 loss, a win that featured four touchdown passes from Mayfield, it's been all smiles in Tampa Bay.

In fact, Baker Mayfield's teammates are enjoying his presence so much, they went ahead and decided to prank him by pulling out an old high school photo at a recent autograph signing. Check this out:

For a brief video that's just over a minute long, it still manages to offer all the positive vibes that just about any NFL fan would love to see from their favorite team and its star quarterback. In all honesty, the photo itself is pretty classic, making it difficult not to draw some laughter from everyone involved.

As it can clearly be seen throughout the clip, while his teammates sign the photo, they're either laughing or smiling ear to ear. Such a simple, lighthearted moment like this has to serve as an amazing welcome change for Mayfield, and perhaps a sigh of relief, considering he looks about as comfortable and relaxed as he's ever been since entering the NFL at age 23.

Heading into Week 2, Baker Mayfield and the Bucs will look to avenge their 2023 playoff loss to the Detroit Lions at the frequently hostile confines of Ford Field.
