The Alabama Crimson Tide and Wisconsin Badgers have only met in college football twice, with the first meeting dating back to 1928. The two played in 2015, with Alabama winning 35-17.

Both programs have changed since then. Former Wisconsin head coach Paul Chryst is no longer with the program, and former Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Luke Fickell now leads it. Nick Saban retired from coaching at the end of last season, and former Washington Huskies head coach Kalen DeBoer runs the Crimson Tide.

ESPN's Bill Connelly created the model in 2008 to predict college football matchups. The model leaned towards Alabama winning the game by multiple scores. It predicted that Alabama would win 33-15 in Madison. The Crimson Tide's win probably was 86%, with a projected win margin of 17.5.

Both teams have had offensive struggles this season. Alabama beat the USF Bulls 42-16 in Week 2. However, the Crimson Tide went into halftime up 14-6 and were only up 21-16 at one point during the fourth quarter.

Wisconsin beat the Western Michigan Broncos 28-14 in Week 1 and South Dakota Coyotes 27-13 in Week 2.

Alabama lost players like offensive tackle JC Latham, safety Jaylen Key, linebacker Dallas Turner, corner Terrion Arnold, and corner Kool-Aid McKinstry to the 2024 NFL Draft.

Wisconsin had offensive lineman Tanor Bortolini and running back Braelon Allen selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Crimson Tide added players via the transfer portal, including former Michigan Wolverines safety Keon Sabb, former USC Trojans corner Domani Jackson, and former Texas A&M Aggies defensive lineman LT Overton.

The Badgers added players like former USC linebacker Tackett Curtis, former Miami Hurricanes quarterback Tyler Van Dyke, and former North Carolina Tar Heels linebacker Sebastian Cheeks from the portal.

Kickoff is at noon ET on Fox on Sept. 14.
