Nick Sirianni Underrated? Eagles Coach Owns Best Active Winning Percentage

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni is entering this season on the hot seat. No one denies that.

Plenty of analysts, fans, and executives around the league, though, tend to be split on if the Eagles' head coach is good, or if he's a product of other people around him.

The numbers don't lie when it comes to him, though.

Following Philadelphia's 34-29 victory over the Green Bay Packers in Brazil, Sirianni improved his coaching record to 35-17 - good enough for a .673 winning percentage.

That total is the highest among active coaches currently across the NFL.

Not bad for a coach seen as a pushover.

Sirianni is not perfect. He's given up control of the offense to Kellen Moore and was a key part of the team's late-season collapse in 2023. There's a reason why the Eagles thought about looking for a new coach going into 2024.

But Hall-of-Fame head coach Bill Parcells once said "you are what your record says you are."

In that regard, Sirianni's record shows a head coach who has been able to keep his team together despite all the outside noise against the organization for many reasons.

It's hard in this league to win football games. For a coach to win 67% of his games shows that the doubt around him may not be correct.
