While the Philadelphia Eagles did lose sixth-round rookie Dylan McMahon off the practice squad, the organization was still able to add to the squad Tuesday afternoon.

Philadelphia announced four roster moves going into the week of practice in preparation for their Monday night showdown against the Atlanta Falcons. In an announcement on the team's website, the team signed wide receiver Danny Gray and defensive back A.J. Woods to their practice squad.

To make room for the two, the Eagles have released wide receiver Griffin Hebert and linebacker Brandon Smith.

Gray was drafted in the third round of the 2022 draft by the San Francisco 49ers and appeared in 13 games for the team over two seasons. Woods is an undrafted rookie free agent who spent time with the Washington Commanders during Training Camp.

Both Smith and Herbert were on the Eagles practice squad during the 2023 season with Smith actually elevated to the active roster for games against the Arizona Cardinals and New York Giants late in the year.

Philadelphia knows they need to have plenty of depth in the secondary and defense, in general, to better prepare for Kirk Cousins and the Falcons on Monday night.

These moves are just part of the strategy.
