College football podcaster and former ESPN analyst David Pollack recently shared his thoughts on some of the biggest stars in the sport.

One of the few primetime games that Pollack reviewed was the Alabama Crimson Tide's matchup against the USF Bulls in the Week 2 slate.

Pollack mentioned that the Tide were underwhelming at the beginning of their game, but a strong fourth quarter helped them pull away with a 42-16 victory.

The former ESPN college football guru focused on one Alabama star when speaking about the Crimson Tide. He believes their veteran quarterback, Jalen Milroe, is talented but Pollack refers to the dual-threat QB as "boom or bust."

Pollack explained that he "runs at a different level" than the defense but has inconsistencies in the passing realm.

"He’s got that boom or bust," Pollack said. "Home run or strikeout… But, he can motor bro. He can absolutely go and that’s the difference. He runs at a different level than everybody else that’s chasing him."

In the victory against USF, Milroe recorded two touchdowns and 194 yards with a 61.5 completion percentage. He finished the game with a 50.5 QBR, which accounts for one of his worst ratings in his college career as a starter.

Despite the struggles against USF, Milroe earned his name in the early Heisman conversation in Week 1.

The talented signal caller posted three touchdowns and 200 yards in the air, completing 7-of-9 pass attempts in a 63-0 victory over Western Kentucky.

Milroe also ran for 79 yards on the ground against Western Kentucky, recording 7.9 yards per carry.

While Pollack explained that Milroe has all the tools to be successful, he said that the Alabama quarterback needs to view the field better.

Pollack mentioned in some offensive sets he seems to see the offense perfectly, helping lead his receivers into open gaps, but he also said that Milroe has some questionable decisions when it comes to being a consistent quarterback.

Milroe's streaky play on the field led to Pollack's "boom or bust" comment.
