Four-star edge rusher Anthony Jones has narrowed his college options to five schools, with UCLA football making the cut. The 6-foot-5, 245-pound prospect from Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, California, has listed Michigan, Tennessee, Arizona State, Washington, and UCLA as his top choices. Previously, he had considered nine schools but has since eliminated Georgia, Cal, Penn State, and Ohio State.

Jones is currently ranked No. 236 in the ESPN 300 for the class of 2026. He has also received offers from several other programs, including UNLV, Texas A&M, SMU, Oregon State, Ole Miss, North Texas, and Auburn.

This season, Jones has recorded six total tackles, one tackle for loss, two sacks, and one interception. Last season, he tallied 46 total tackles, five tackles for loss, seven sacks, four pass deflections, and two fumble recoveries.

UCLA has one commitment for the class of 2026 in three-star wide receiver Jonah Smith, who committed in March. The Bruins are also building a strong class for 2025, which currently includes 17 commitments, featuring four-star recruits like quarterbacks Madden Iamaleava and Jadyn Hudson.

If Jones decides to join UCLA, it would be a significant addition to their recruiting efforts for the class of 2026. Meanwhile, the Bruins are preparing for their upcoming game against Indiana, marking their first matchup against a Big Ten opponent since joining the conference.
