WNBA legend Cynthia Cooper has seen enough to be convinced that Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark is the real deal.

Cooper has always been a big fan of Clark, and she didn't hold back in her praise of the 22-year-old playmaker while speaking on The Mark Jackson Show recently. The two-time WNBA MVP and four time league champion even doubled down on the new nickname she gave the Fever guard.

"I just came from the Dallas-Fever game, and Arike [Ogunbowale] is the truth. Okay?" Cooper said, referring to Indiana's game against the Wings on September 1.

"Caitlin Clark, 28 and 12? Winning on the road with Kelsey Mitchell? The absolute truth! I'm sitting there like 'Oh my god!' But she's so crafty."

For what it's worth, it's not the first time Cynthia Cooper has called Caitlin Clark as "The Absolute Truth." In the same Fever-Wings game she mentioned, she was actually seen calling Caitlin Clark that nickname.

"I appreciate you for repping Caitlin Clark, who’s the absolute truth!" Cooper said at the time. "I'm telling you, she's the absolute truth."

"You can see her creating for others, you can see her shooting her shot, you can see getting to the free throw line. She’s making everyone better, She’s making me better and I’m sitting on the sideline!"

Cynthia Cooper's praise of Caitlin Clark certainly speaks volumes about what the Fever star has done early in her career. She has brought a lot of attention to the WNBA, and she has more than lived up to the hype after an incredible collegiate career.

Clark currently leads the WNBA in assists per game with 8.5. She's well on track to win Rookie of the Year, and her recent play even has several fans and experts mentioning her as a potential MVP candidate .

With Clark leading the way, the Fever have also secured a spot in the 2024 playoffs, their first postseason appearance since 2016.
