ESPN college football analyst Rece Davis recently spoke on the "College GameDay" podcast, sharing his thoughts on Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes.

He reviewed the Buffaloes' 28-10 loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers in Week 2. While Davis credited Colorado for having some elite talent in Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, he believes there are gaping holes within the roster.

While Davis thinks there are many questions to be answered, with Sanders and Hunter set to enter the draft in 2025 and CU starting the year 1-1, he still has trust in Deion Sanders.

Davis believes Deion Sanders is a good coach who can pull the Buffaloes together, but he explained that it's a delicate time for CU, mostly due to their depth.

"It's a really delicate time for Colorado," Davis said. "How they handle the rest of the season. Can Deion, and I think he can, because I think Deion's a good coach, I do."

While Davis thinks Sanders is a "good coach," he thinks the trenches are a major issue for the Buffaloes.

Davis mentioned that if you're not successful at protecting the quarterback on the offensive line, and you can't draw pressure on defense, "it's just not going to happen."

"But, you can be a good a coach as you want," Davis continued. "If you can't protect and you can't impact on the defensive line... It's just not going to happen, at least not at the level that you hope it happens."

In the Buffaloes' loss to Nebraska, their offense gave up six sacks, leaving Shedeur Sanders in difficult situations and their defense didn't record a single sack on Dylan Raiola.

As Rece Davis explained, Colorado may have talent on the field and a quality coach on the sideline, but there are problems that need to be solved on the line of scrimmage.
