Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce shared an honest message about his former team on Wednesday, September 11, about the difficulty of watching from home during their Week 1, 34-29, win against the Green Bay Packers.

Kelce’s remarkable 13-year career with the Eagles has been defined by consistency, leadership, and elite performance since being drafted in the sixth round in 2011.

His contributions resulted in a historic 41-33 Super Bowl LII victory over the New England Patriots, where his leadership and play were pivotal in securing the Eagles' first-ever Lombardi Trophy.

Now retired, Kelce opened up about how challenging it was to no longer be part of the action on the field, watching his former teammates from the sidelines for the first time.

“It was weird watching the game,” Kelce shared on his " New Heights " podcast.

Kelce's last game missed came on September 28, 2014, against the San Francisco 49ers due to a sports hernia injury that sidelined him for four games.

Other than that, he was an iron man for the Eagles, not missing a single game for nine seasons afterward. He set the franchise record for consecutive starts with 156.

“Especially not even being on the sideline, like there’s nothing you can do,” said Kelce. “You’re watching the game and you’re wondering why certain things are happening.”

Though retired, Kelce has stayed busy with media roles, including "Monday Night Countdown" and his popular podcast. His legacy as an Eagles legend remains strong, and it’s clear he still cares deeply about the team’s success.
