We spend a lot of our time in the world of college football talking about who the best teams in the nation are, and which schools have a chance to compete for a spot in the College Football Playoff or win a national championship at the end of the year.

Robert Griffin III wants to talk about the teams that are on the rise, instead.

These schools may not be good enough to make the playoffs or win a championship in 2024, but Griffin, the former Heisman winner at Baylor, sees a bright future ahead. These teams, according to Griffin, are the Tennessee Volunteers, Miami Hurricanes, Louisville Cardinals, UCF Golden Knights, and Syracuse Orange.

The fact that Tennessee is at the top of the list should come as no surprise since they have a dynamic quarterback in sophomore Nico Iamaleava Jr. who is in the mix for the Heisman Trophy in 2024. The Volunteers, along with the Hurricanes, have a decent chance to make it to the playoffs this year, either as an at-large bid or in Miami's case, by winning the ACC.

However, highlighting teams like Louisville, UCF, and Syracuse may surprise a lot of casual football fans who haven't been paying attention to the sport as of late. While all three teams are undefeated at this point, they are not known as traditional powers.

Syracuse may be the biggest surprise for fans just tuning in, but with Fran Brown as the new head coach, and former Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord making waves as the leader of the offense, there's a chance that they will make some noise this season.
