Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Gives 'Hollywood' Brown Injury Update

Kansas City Chiefs receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown suffered a sternoclavicular joint dislocation during their first preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars back on Aug 10.

The Chiefs have enough talent on the offensive side of the ball to win games, but that also gives coach Andy Reid the ability to give Brown ample time to heal.

The team is using former Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill’s timeline as a guide as he suffered the same injury.

“So, with Tyreek, listen, everybody’s different, but it’s the same type of injury. He’s getting close. I know he’s feeling better. We’ve just got to kind of see where it goes from here.” said Reid.

“They’ve been doing these periodic tests on them and making sure that he’s headed in the right direction, and scans and all that, but it looks like it’s heading in the right direction. Now we just have to see where it goes from there.”

The Chiefs offense is in good hands while Brown heals. As long as Patrick Mahomes is on the field, Kansas City has a chance to win games.

Tight end Travis Kelce and rookie receiver Xavier Worthy alongside running back Isiah Pacheco can still put up points to win games.

The Chiefs continue to prepare to host the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium at 3:25 p.m. CT.
