College football analyst Paul Finebaum recently joined the "Always College Football" show on ESPN with Greg McElroy.

While talking about the downfall of a few programs this season, including the Florida Gators, Auburn Tigers and Florida State Seminoles, Finebaum shared his thoughts on FSU head coach Mike Norvell.

McElroy asked Finebaum if it was time to hit the panic button in Tallahassee and he was quick in explaining that as an overreaction.

While he believes the Seminoles are a troubled team in 2024, starting the season 0-2, Finebaum thinks the Noles are in good hands with Norvell.

Florida State may be heading back to the drawing board after a rough start, but in the words of Finebaum, they have a "superb coach" leading the program.

"I also believe Norvell is a superb coach," Finebaum said. "I think they're fortunate to have him down there."

Florida State suffered two losses, one of which was in Week Zero against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and another in Week 1 against the Boston College Eagles. FSU entered both games as heavy favorites.

Their next matchup will be held at Doak Campbell Stadium, hosting the 2-0 Memphis Tigers.

Norvell has been under fire for the Seminoles' 0-2 start, but the veteran head coach has been the pilot in bringing FSU back into national title contention.

He began his journey with the Noles in 2020. In his first year with the program, FSU went 3-6. Fast forward to the 2023 season, Norvell and the Seminoles were competing for a spot in the College Football Playoffs with a 13-0 regular season record, including an ACC championship victory.

There may be trouble with Florida State in the 2024 season, but Finebaum doesn't believe Norvell is the one to blame.
