Patrick Mahomes has influenced a lot of young players since becoming an NFL star - including Nebraska Cornhuskers signal caller Dylan Raiola.

Raiola resembles Mahomes in a number of ways, from his play on the field to his haircut.

But the young college star recently revealed that his No. 15 jersey has nothing to do with the 3-time Super Bowl champion, Mahomes.

"No, I wore 15 in my first year of football, actually Tim Tebow," Raiola said. "A strong Christian person. He played football at Florida and I look up to people who have good character and are a good person. He was that guy at the time. I kind of went away from it and went to 1, and it felt better to be at 15 honestly."

Tebow is considered one of the greatest college quarterbacks of all time and won the Heisman Trophy - college football's greatest award - in 2007.

Whatever Raiola is doing to mimic Mahomes and Tebow, it's working. Through two games this season, the Buford, Georgia, native has thrown for 423 yards and three touchdowns while leading the Cornhuskers to wins over UTEP and Deion Sanders' Colorado Buffaloes while completing almost 70 percent of his passes.
