Eagles, Kellen Moore Remain Unconcerned Over Jalen Hurts' Turnovers

Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore passed his first test as the primary play-caller Friday night.

Behind over 400 yards of offense and a stellar debut from running back Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia was able to overwhelm the Green Bay Packers in the team's 34-29 win to open the season.

Not everything was perfect for Moore and the Eagles offense, though.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts was inconsistent for most of the contest turning the ball over three times and could've been credited for even more throughout the game. In many ways, it appeared Philadelphia's franchise quarterback held them back at times.

Despite the quarterback's struggles, Moore isn't worried at all about Hurts. The former Cowboys and Chargers offensive coordinator spoke Wednesday stating that Hurts' turnovers were "outliers."

While Moore may think that the turnovers were outliers, past history dictates that this could be closer to what Hurts is overall. The Pro Bowler recorded a career-high in total turnovers last season.

A big reason why the Eagles brought in Moore in the first place is to help Hurts limit the turnovers. While they weren't able to do so in the season opener, they did in fact make headway on the group's overall look.

It'll be up to Hurts to limit the mistakes going forward, though.
