The Indiana Fever have been one of the best teams in the WNBA over the past month. While much of their success has come behind the efforts of rookie Caitlin Clark, they've also benefited from another star on the roster.

According to StatMamba, Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell leads the WNBA with the most clutch points scored this season.

The WNBA veteran has been phenomenal for the Fever, ranked at No. 2 in terms of average points on the roster.

Mitchell is currently averaging 19.1 points, shooting 46.1% from the field and 39.2% from three-point range.

Mitchell is also averaging 2.9 points per game in the "clutch," which accounts for the final five minutes of the fourth quarter or overtime when the score is within five points.

Clark, on the other hand, has averaged 2.1 points in the "clutch."

There's also been a difference in efficiency between the two. Mitchell is shooting 47.5% from the field, while Clark has struggled, shooting 38.9% from the field in crunch time.

While Mitchell may be leading Clark in this statistic, the rookie has been incredible for the Fever. She's served as the team's main facilitator at just 22 years old.

Clark is currently averaging 19.2 points, 8.5 assists, and 5.8 rebounds per game.

She leads the Fever in average points and assists, while also being one of Indiana's best defenders, leading the team with 1.3 steals per game.

Both Clark and Mitchell have helped bring the Fever to the top of the WNBA landscape.

Indiana clinched a spot in the WNBA playoffs for the first since 2016. They're currently 19-17 on the year, being listed as the No. 6 team in the WNBA standings.

The Fever will look to add another victory to the win column on Wednesday when they host the defending champion Las Vegas Aces.
