Colin Cowherd is over the "timeshare sales pitch" that is Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes, according to the long-time talk show host.

Cowherd ranted about Sanders and Colorado following the Buffaloes' 28-10 loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Saturday, calling them the "new fake ID" of college football. The loss to Nebraska marks Colorado's seventh straight loss to a FBS opponent.

"It’s time for a new fake ID of college football," he said on "The Herd with Colin Cowherd." "You know, somebody that’s new on campus, talking a big game, little thirsty and not of legal age. Kind of a poser. And I think it’s Colorado."

"Deion Sanders is the new fake ID of college football," Cowherd continued. "I’m sorry... These guys are vomiting on themselves after a margarita... Worst run offense in America, can’t defend the run, can’t play defense (and) tackle poorly."

The Buffaloes averaged 0.7 yards per rush against the Cornhuskers. That's 16 yards on 22 attempts. Colorado is dead last in rushing yards (75) and rushing touchdowns (0) in the nation through two weeks. Star quarterback Shedeur Sanders is left to lead the offensive attack, which totaled 260 yards (244 passing yards) and two turnovers on Saturday.

Colorado also ranks 97th in the country in total defense, allowing 391.5 yards per game on average.

"It feels like they’re one big campaign to get Shedeur Sanders the Heisman or the No. 1 pick," Cowherd said. "It’s just a timeshare sales pitch and I’m over it."

Sanders' outgoing approach with his program has garnered an incredible amount of discourse and critics, like Cowherd, are certainly not hard to find. It's up to the program to silence those doubters with wins on the field starting with Colorado State on Saturday.

It is, and for the most part a 3 Ring Circus. The kid, isn’t anywhere near as good as his Dad says or thinks, he’s 99.99% smoke and mirror hype, but CU could care less be the stadium is full, and local restaurants and Gin mills are thriving. I think he’ll leave at the close of this season.
