The Raiders suffered a disappointing home loss to the Chargers in Week 1 with a 22-10 final score, but defensive end Maxx Crosby wasn't at fault. He finished with a 33% pass-rush win rate in the game per ESPN, which ranked sixth among qualified edge rushers in Week 1.

It sounds like the Ravens know they need to prepare for Crosby, as head coach John Harbaugh said he's "one of the best players in football" and a "game breaker." Harbaugh admitted that the Ravens can't "put 11 guys on 1 guy, but he's the guy [they] have a dot on to watch for."

Lamar Jackson also praised Crosby's "high motor," saying, "he's a great edge rusher."

The Ravens and Raiders haven't matched up since 2021, but Maxx Crosby wrecked house in that game, finishing with 13 pressures, eight QB hurries, and two sacks, according to PFF. He led a Raiders' pass rush that pressured Lamar Jackson on 46.2% of his dropbacks in that game.

If the Raiders are going to keep the game close this week, it starts with the defensive line finding ways to take advantage of a Ravens' offensive line that showed holes in Week 1. Crosby will be the catalyst for achieving that goal.
