The Raiders defensive line has been thinning out over the last week with Malcolm Koonce expected to miss extended time and Tyree Wilson dealing with a knee issue.

There is good news, however, as Ian Rapoport now reports that Wilson's knee injury isn't as bad as previously thought.

"The injury is not believed to be long-term, as the knee is structurally sound." Rapoport shared on social media.

However, head coach Antonio Pierce said the injury is "not looking good," so the timing of his return to the field is unclear. In light of that uncertain timetable, the Raiders have made an insurance move by signing K'Lavon Chaisson .

Koonce has been placed on the reserve/injured list, which means he has to miss at least four games. Since he missed the first game, his earliest return is in Week 5 against the Denver Broncos.

Without Koonce, Wilson and Chaisson will be asked to step up and make plays in his absence. Their presence will be crucial this week against a run-heavy Ravens offense featuring Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.
