If Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese was Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark’s biggest on-court rival this season, then ESPN has a strong case for being Clark’s biggest off-court rival.

A good chunk of the content the network has posted about Clark this season seems to have had some sort of negative slant to it, and just last week, the organization had Reese ahead of Clark in its WNBA Rookie of the Year rankings.

So when ESPN had Clark ranked third and Reese ranked 10th on its list of the 10 greatest rookie seasons in WNBA history on Wednesday, it rubbed a good number of fans the wrong way, many of whom took to social media to voice their frustration with ESPN’s inconsistent stance on Clark.

“So they have CC at 3 and Reese at 10 but Reese is ROTY?” asked one fan .

“lol they will do anything to diminish her light. S---- just not working,” said another .

“3rd best regular season? Based on accomplishments (points, 3pm, assists, rebounds, steals) with 4 games remaining, compared to other player full seasons?” a third fan chimed in .

“Weird how only a week ago she wasn't even the best rookie this season according to ESPN,” remarked one user .

“I’m so confused because 2 weeks ago ESPN had Angel as ROY THIS year lmao how the pendulum swing this violently in TWO weeks? Clown ass company,” added another user .

“lol they had to quickly pencil it in before she breaks them records and GOD FORBID has any type of playoff run,” remarked another .

Clark leads the WNBA in assists per game (8.5) and she’s tops among all rookies in points per game (19.2), free-throw percentage (.907), made 3s per game (3.1), made field goals per game (six), steals per game (1.3) and player efficiency rating (19).

The 22-year-old entered Wednesday night’s matchup with the Las Vegas Aces just 11 assists shy of breaking the WNBA’s single-season record.

I don't know why this from CNN is a surprise to anyone, they have reported fake news for years.
