The Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame class for 2024 has been announced, and there is a former New York Knicks head coach that will be inducted.

Hubie Brown has been a broadcaster for ESPN and ABC since 2004, but before that, he was the head coach of the Knicks back in the early '80s.

His first year with the team was in 1982, where he led the team to the playoffs in his first two seasons as the head coach. After that, things started to go downhill a bit, as the Knicks then had back-to-back losing seasons.

Then, after the team started out the 1986-87 season 4-12, they decided to go in a different direction and fire Brown. Even though his time with the Knicks did not end like he would have wanted, he found massive success after leaving coaching behind.

He has been one of the best commentators in the NBA for decades now, and he is still doing it at 90 years old. His longevity is very impressive, and has led him to be one of the most respected sports broadcasters of all time.

He will enshrined in the Sports Broadcasting Hall of Fame alongside late NFL reporter Chris Mortenson and others on December 17th.
