Fans Outraged by Sideline Video of Joe Burrow

Quarterback Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals were on the wrong end of a Week 1 upset by the New England Patriots, who left Cincinnati with a 16-10 road victory to open the 2024 season.

It was Burrow's first regular season game back after a wrist injury ended his 2023 season after only 10 games. Some spectators have questioned whether the injury has not fully healed and could still be bothering him.

A video reshared by NFL aggregator account Dov Kleiman showed a compilation of clips of Burrow holding his right wrist before picking up a water bottle on the sideline in Week 1.

"This video of Joe Burrow struggling to pick up a Gatorade bottle is going viral, and fans are scared that his wrist has not fully healed," Kleiman wrote on X.

Burrow himself dismissed the idea on Wednesday, September 11, saying to reporters , "What did I do? I picked it up weird? I don't know, I drank water. I can't say I've seen that or know what anybody's talking about."

Fans were equally outraged over the suggestion and let their feelings be known in the comment section of the video.

"Failing to see the 'struggle,'" one fan responded on X.

"This is ridiculous click bait. He picked it up completely normally," another wrote .

"What ?? He just tossed it up and caught it lol," added another fan.

In Week 2, the Bengals (0-1) travel to Kansas City to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs (1-0) on Sunday, September 15.
