ESPN Makes Big ManningCast Announcement

Peyton and Eli Manning hosting ManningCast has garnered mixed reviews from NFL fans. After Week 1 of the 2024 season, the ratings were the lowest ever with just 872,000 tuning in for the Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and San Francisco 49ers.

The numbers were incredibly low, although some of that could be due to the DirecTV issues. Still, it's surprising considering they had guests including Adam Sandler and Bill Belichick.

Nonetheless, it appears ManningCast is headed for the Super Bowl with ESPN set to have the rights to the 2027 game, per a report from Alex Schiffer of Front Office Sports.

"At Tuesday’s Front Office Sports Tuned In summit in New York, reporter Michael McCarthy asked ESPN president of content Burke Magnus if that Super Bowl would have a ManningCast," Schiffer wrote.

“If we didn’t, I think I’d have a problem with those two fellows,” Magnus said. “But yeah, that’s gonna be definitely a part of it.”

ESPN is set to have its first-ever Super Bowl on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Las Angeles, and all signs point to them factoring ManningCast into the coverage.

The brothers and former NFL quarterbacks have been running ManningCast since its debut in 2021. Omaha Productions, Peyton's production company that runs ManningCast, signed a new extension with ESPN to remain with the network until 2034, so ESPN has big plans for the program.

With the Super Bowl coming to LA again, the Manning brothers are expected to be there as well with their famous show.
