The Minnesota Twins announced Wednesday they have reinstated catcher Christian Vázquez from the paternity list and outfielder Manuel Margot from the 10-day injured list.

Vázquez has missed the past two games as he and his wife, Gabriela, welcomed their third child late Monday night.

The 34-year-old is hitting a .228/.255/.342 line with an OPS of .598 in his second season with the Twins, adding seven home runs and 27 RBI.

Margot returns to the Twins after being placed on the 10-day IL with a right groin strain. He's hitting .250/.302/.350 with an OPS of .652, four home runs and 30 RBI in his first season with Minnesota.

To make room on the MLB roster, the Twins optioned catcher Jair Camargo and outfielder Michael Helman to Triple-A St. Paul.

Camargo didn't appear in a game for the Twins in his most recent stint. Helman played in seven games, hitting .375 (3-for-8) with two doubles and two runs scored.

Vázquez is hitting ninth in the Twins lineup Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Angels.

Minnesota has a day off Thursday before they launch a three-game home series against the Cincinnati Reds on Friday night.
