Raiders' TE Named Potential Trade Target

    By Jake Brockhoff,

With Week 1 now in the books, we've started to get a clearer picture of the 2024 NFL season, and have learned a bit about how some rosters around the league are being sorted out.

With that in mind, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox compiled a list of players around the league that could find themselves on the trade block soon. One Las Vegas Raiders tight end was listed, but it wasn't one of their more notable players, such as Brock Bowers or Michael Mayer.

    That player was Harrison Bryant.

Knox mentions that with Bowers and Mayer forming a solid tight end duo, there isn't much room for Bryant to make an impact on this Raiders' roster.

"It's already clear that Bowers will be featured heavily in Luke Getsy's offense," said Knox. "And Las Vegas has a strong No. 2 tight end in Michael Mayer."

Bryant is a talented player himself. He spent the first four seasons of his career with the Cleveland Browns , where he's compiled 89 career receptions for 791 yards and 10 touchdowns.

It's not a bad career resume by any means, and Knox notes that with some recent injuries in Cleveland, a reunion could be a good idea.

"A reunion in Cleveland would actually make a ton of sense in the wake of David Njoku's Week 1 injury," Knox says. "According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, Njoku is "feared" to have suffered a high-ankle sprain against Dallas."

Cleveland isn't the only team that could be a fit, as Knox lists the Dallas Cowboys as a potential suitor as well. Dallas' tight end, Jake Ferguson, is dealing with a bone bruise and an MCL sprain , so Bryant would be a good depth option here.

Honestly, trading Bryant wouldn't be the worst idea. It's clear that Bowers and Mayer will receive many more opportunities than Bryant in the Raiders' offense. Trading him for extra assets would make sense, since he's not getting any chances in Vegas anyway. It seems as if the demand for him might be there as well.
