Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been the center of widespread trade conversations over the past couple of years, and comments he made about Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson on Wednesday, September 11, are likely only to add fuel to the speculative fires.

A reporter asked Adams during a press conference what the wideout has noticed about Jackson, the two-time and reigning NFL MVP, over the course of his career.

"Going into my [2021] season ... broken tackles was an area that I really wanted to focus on and push and make better. And I was literally finding myself watching Lamar Jackson highlights, like, in my locker before the games," Adams said . "Dude changed the game. In my opinion, he's the best ball-carrier ever, no matter what position you wanna talk about. I don't think anybody's as big of a threat carrying the football. And obviously he's worked really hard at developing the other parts of his game as well, and you've seen that come a long way, too. So he's a huge threat.

The question came in the context of a matchup between the Raiders and Ravens this weekend in Baltimore. However, that didn't stop fans from raising their eyebrows about both what Adams said and what a team-up between the two superstars might look like.

Vic Tafur of The Athletic authored an X post about Adam's take and the inevitable conversations soon began in the comments section.

"Should make sure he stays in Baltimore next week after the game 😎," one fan wrote .

"Well come on over [Davante] 😆," another fan responded .

"Said we should trade for bro a few weeks ago," a third person chimed in . "The most Ravens move of the season to me đŸ€."

Both teams are 0-1 heading into Week 2, meaning a win is huge for both squads and a loss will have the panic meter rising in whatever city fails to come out on top.

Also, for what it's worth, Adams has three years remaining on his $140 million deal and has said publicly that he is not unhappy in Las Vegas , adding that he also has not demanded a trade.
