Numerous media outlets are reporting that Boise State has accepted an invitation to join the reconfigured PAC-12, part of a bid to restore the conference with new members and retain Power Five Status.

To the existing members of Washington State and Oregon State, the conference announced the addition of Fresno State, Colorado State, the Broncos and San Diego State.

The move comes just a few days after BSU played Oregon to a standstill in Autzen Stadium, losing 37-34 on a field goal on the game's final play despite 192 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Heisman Trophy candidate Ashton Jeanty.

With six more teams and a couple of major media markets, the new/old league could have some real viability. They already have a TV deal with CW.

Oregon State has an opportunity to strike another blow for legitimacy this Saturday. They host Oregon on the Fox Network at 12:30 Pacific. The Beavers are 16-point underdogs, 2-0 under new coach Trent Bray.
