From one MVP to another, LeBron James and A'ja Wilson recognize one another as the best in their respective leagues.

Wednesday night was a historic one for Wilson, who broke the WNBA's all-time scoring record in a single season as she led the two-time defending champions Las Vegas Aces to an 86-75 victory over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

She concluded the game with a double-double, tallying 27 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.

Wilson surpassed Jewell Loyd's former record of 939 points with a mid-range jumper late in the second quarter, achieving a new total of 941 points. Remarkably, Wilson accomplished this feat in just 35 games, whereas Loyd took 38 games to set her record.

The NBA legend took notice of Wilson's record-breaking achievement, prompting his congratulatory message.

"STRAIGHT Buckets!!! CONGRATULATIONS SIS! Love to see it!!!" said James.

Wilson caught wind of James' reaction on social media , only needing two words to acknowledge to the future Hall of Famer that she has seen his recognition of her making history.

    "Thank yaaaa," she said.

Throughout her career, Wilson has earned two league MVP awards (2020 and 2022), secured spots on numerous All-WNBA and All-Defensive teams, and was instrumental in guiding the Aces to their first two WNBA championships in 2022 and 2023.

As the regular season approaches its final four games for the Aces, Wilson is nearing a remarkable milestone of 1,000 points, reinforcing her candidacy for yet another MVP award. Wilson's acknowledging James' praise emphasizes a huge moment where two basketball legends acknowledge each other's greatness.

The Aces are set to wrap up their season series with the Fever on September 13 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
