Deshaun Watson could be facing further difficulties off the field.

The Cleveland Browns quarterback was the subject of a new lawsuit filed in Houston earlier this week on Sept. 9, distinct from the 23 lawsuits he resolved in 2022.

These recent accusations surfaced following the Browns' season-opener against the Dallas Cowboys. Watson struggled against the Dallas defense, only completing 24 of 45 passes for 169 yards and one touchdown and two interceptions as Cleveland lost 33-17 on Sept. 8.

Watson has already denied the allegations, saying he doesn't know they keep happening to him.

"#Browns QB Deshaun Watson asked why he thinks this keeps happening, the numerous lawsuits filed against him, implies he doesn't know: 'I'm in the same boat as you, boss man,'" Camryn Justice of News 5 Cleveland reported via an X post.

Rusty Hardin, the attorney representing Watson, released a statement on Wednesday regarding the situation.

"Deshaun strongly denies the allegations in the Jane Doe lawsuit filed Monday," Hardin said . "We have asked him not to comment further while this matter works its way through the courts, but are comfortable he will ultimately be vindicated."

Attorney Tony Buzbee informed Pro Football Talk that Watson's most recent accuser intends to speak with the NFL, and she will not be doing so alone.

"I intend to make my client available for interview along with two individuals who spoke to her immediately after the assault. I also have video to share that will be pertinent,” Buzbee said .

This could pose a significant issue for Watson. Following the recent developments, the NFL announced they do not intend to place Watson on the commissioner's exempt list, and the Browns have confirmed he will continue as their starting quarterback.

However, this stance could shift if new evidence emerges. Meanwhile, Buzbee's comments to ESPN appeared to lack optimism.

"I've personally never had confidence in the NFL's disciplinary process but my client has chosen to engage it," he said.

Watson could face significant financial losses if he receives another suspension.

Until the meeting takes place, Watson and the Browns will focus on their upcoming Week 2 matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sept. 15 at 1 p.m. ET.

I wouldn’t doubt if Cleveland is paying her to come out so they can cut him. It’s Cleveland
