    By Lance Roberson,

Aside from being the NBA logo, Jerry West influenced the success of multiple teams. The Golden State Warriors benefitted from his basketball brain and gutsy front-office moves. However, the Los Angeles Lakers gained the most from West's mind, body, and soul. As such, 11 Laker legends will present the enshrinement to honor West.

West passed away on June 12, during the 2024 NBA Finals, and the NBA was in the midst of a tragedy. Instead of wallowing in sadness, the NBA universe lifted its head and took to tributing West, showcasing its gratitude for such a player and basketball mind to grace its league.
