Since Caitlin Clark was selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 WNBA draft back in April, the Indiana Fever have been the most popular team in the league.

Every single game, whether it be at home at Gainbridge Fieldhouse or on the road, either sells out or comes close to selling out. Not to mention the number of viewership records Clark has drawn each game she plays. And the former Iowa Hawkeyes star leads the WNBA in merchandise sales.

On Thursday, the Fever took to social media to announce their latest feat of breaking the single-season WNBA record for home attendance with 300,000+ fans and counting.

"Gainbridge Fieldhouse is the place to be," the Fever wrote on X with a star eyes emoji and a house emoji.  "Thanks to the 300,000+ fans and counting who have joined us to set the WNBA record for home attendance this season."

Last season, without Clark, the Fever's attendance reached only 81,336 across 20 home games. In 2024, Indiana surpassed that total in just their fifth home game of the season, bringing in a total of 82,857 fans in those contests.

According to Across The Timeline , the Fever are averaging 17,009 fans per game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with the next closest being the first-place New York Liberty, averaging 12,646 per game. In comparison, the Las Vegas Aces, who won the 2023 WNBA championship, had the highest home attendance last year, averaging 9,551 per game, which is less than half the teams this season.

One thing is for sure: the Caitlin Clark Effect is real, and the numbers are there to prove it. With the playoffs on the horizon and the Fever catching fire at the right time, they may make a run and break more attendance records in the process.
