Where Does Devin Vassell Rank in Top-100 List?

X (formerly known as Twitter) is not always the best identifier of what's right or wrong. However, the stock in the information provided via social media caters to younger people. A top-100 NBA player list generated by a poll organized by prominent NBA-X personality/analyst Josh Eberley indicates San Antonio Spurs' Devin Vassell is social media relevant but nearly out of the scope.

Vassell ranked 98th out of 100 on the aforementioned social poll. Although such a rating means nothing to Vassell's worth, it alludes to what people online think of the Spurs' second-best scorer. Social media does not indicate the world's views, but many hardcore fans and analysts partake in basketball discourse on X.

The Spurs guard averaged career-highs in points with 19.5 and assists with 4.1 assists in 68 games.

Among the 100 players, Vassell finished higher than Jabari Smith Jr. and Deandre Ayton. The fact that Vassell finished with more votes than Ayton says a lot of social media's disbelief in the Portland Trail Blazers center.

Ayton finished the 2023-24 season averaging 16.7 points and 11.1 rebounds.

Nonetheless, Vassell's potential hasn't been reached, while it's possible the 2018 NBA Draft's No. 1 pick experienced his best playing days.

Vassell's efficiency within the paint around the basket suggests a versatile player who can complement Victor Wembanyama's dominant game.

Staying healthy, slightly improving his jump shot efficiency, and continuing to work on his playmaking abilities will bode well for Vassell's next decent season. Furthermore, Vassell received the Most Improved Player of the Year votes last season.

With Chris Paul on the team, Vassell's points scored on cuts and set shots will likely increase.

Ultimately, as long as Ayton is in the NBA, and X remains a popular app, especially for NBA discourse, Vassell will rank higher.
