Miami Heat Make Huge Dwyane Wade Announcement

Dwyane Wade will always be remembered as one of the most iconic figures in Miami Heat basketball history.

Through 15 seasons with the Heat franchise, the all-time great shooting guard averaged 22.7 points, 5.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game. He notched 13 All-Star selections and eight All-NBA honors in South Beach, leading his team to three NBA Championship titles (2006, 2012, 2013).

Wade is now being immortalized for his all-time great career with the Miami franchise. On Thursday, the organization announced dates for his statue unveiling outside of the Heat's Kaseya Center.

The statue unveiling ceremony will take place on October 27. Wade will be honored in a separate "Statue Night" when the Heat face off against the Detroit Pistons on October 28.

"Our franchise GOAT getting basketball’s ultimate honor. Be here when the @DwyaneWade statue is officially unveiled," the Heat wrote on X.

In addition to his stellar career with the Miami Heat, Wade also notched an Olympic gold medal as a member of Team USA's Redeem Team in 2008. He was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2023.
