WNBA fans are gearing up for the 2024 playoffs, but it's worth remembering that the landscape of the league will be changing quite a bit come 2025.

That's because the WNBA will be adding their first expansion franchise to the league since the Atlanta Dream with the unveiling of the Golden State Valkyries, as the 2025 campaign is set to be their inaugural season.

It's an exciting time for the WNBA, and while the 12 other teams across the league are focusing on the current campaign, the Valkyries are getting ready for the 2025 season already. The team recently announced their plans for a pair of facilities they will use next year, which will surely get fans pumped for their impending debut in the league.

The Valkyries are set to play their games at the Chase Center, so having their own locker room at the stadium makes sense. However, they will also have their own practice facility in Oakland, which will certainly be a nice perk for the players.

The Valkyries are intent on kicking off their stint in the WNBA with a bang, and having some state of the art facilities will go a long way towards helping them gain credibility with players across the league.

The 2025 season is certainly still far down the line, but the Valkyries are hard at work getting ready for it, and their introduction to the league will surely be one of the most exciting parts of the upcoming season.
