Concern Grows for Myles Garrett After Latest Browns Update

It was a disappointing opening week for the Cleveland Browns as they lost to the Dallas Cowboys on their home turf, 33-17. The Deshaun Watson-led offense could not get much done, only amassing 230 yards and 137 through the air.

But their defense, led by Myles Garrett, looked as good as last season, only allowing 265 yards against Dak Prescott and a high-powered Cowboys offense. Garrett, per usual, wreaked havoc in the trenches, picking up a sack, a tackle for loss, and a QB hit.

As the Browns prepare for their first road test of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars, some concerning news came out of Cleveland's camp.

According to ESPN's NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Browns added Garrett to their injury list on Thursday with a foot issue. He was marked as "did not practice" in the day's session.

Although there is no report on his game status for this Sunday's game, it certainly is troublesome news for Cleveland faithful. Losing Garrett, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, for any amount of time would be a massive blow.

With the news, NFL fans have grown concerned for Garrett and the Browns, leaving their thoughts on social media.

"And the hits keep coming...." one fan said.

"okay i'm almost starting to feel bad for them lmao"

"god the suffering will never end will it"

"This is gonna sound crazy. But I think I'm actually starting to feel bad for Browns fans. Its actually amazing how much the Browns have browned already and it's not even the second week of the season"

"Oh, cool, we needed the brightest spot on the team to be hurt. Didn’t have enough issues already."

    "Please be precautionary"

Garrett has had his fair share of foot injuries throughout his career but has not missed much time from them. Just last season, he suffered a foot injury that left him in a walking boot during the loss to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4. Although the Browns had a bye week in Week 5, Garrett did not miss any games and played in Week 6.
