Former ESPN Host Reacts to Shannon Sharpe's Mishap: 'It Was Not Me'

Former ESPN host Michelle Beadle took to social media to deny she was the woman heard in Shannon Sharpe's accidental sex stream on Instagram Live on Sept. 11.

Sharpe, co-host of ESPN's sports debate show "First Take," was heard saying, "That's my Michelle," in the viral clip he said was streamed live without him noticing.

"It was not me," Beadle wrote on X on Sept. 12 with an awkward-smile emoji.

The former NFL tight end-turned-TV host made the admission on his "Night Cap" podcast with Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson on Sept. 11.

"My phone wasn't hacked," Sharpe said. "It wasn't a prank."

The three-time Super Bowl champion detailed how the intimate private moment was broadcast for the whole world to hear.

"It was me being a healthy, active male," the 56-year-old Sharpe said.

He continued: "I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity. I did not know IG Live. I've never turned IG Live on, so I don't know how it works, and all of sudden my other phone started going off."

After the mishap blew up on the internet, Sharpe said he immediately contacted his agent and ESPN to address the embarrassing situation.

"I said, 'I just got to tell them the truth,'" he acknowledged.

Sharpe, who played for the NFL's Denver Broncos and Baltimore Ravens during his 14-year Hall of Fame career, said he was embarrassed for several reasons.

"There are a lot of people that count on Shannon to be professional at all times, and I always try to be professional at all times, even when I'm behind closed doors," he said. "I'm very disappointed in myself, not for the act. I think there are millions and billions of people of consenting age who engage in activities, but for the audio to be heard, I'm disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down."
