What a turn of events it has been in the Pac-12 Conference. In less than a day, they went from having a bleak future with just two programs to suddenly having six schools, with more schools potentially on the way.

The additions of Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State and San Diego State became official Thursday morning after some late-night reports first broke the news.

In fact, Pac-12 Conference Commissioner Teresa Gould expressed they have been drawing interest from a number of schools, per Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports.

"In an interview with @YahooSports, Pac-12 commissioner Teresa Gould says there has been “significant” interest from other schools over the last 18 hours in joining the league," Dellenger wrote on X. "No set number in mind except for the eight needed for CFP/NCAA requirements"

Brett McMurphy of Action Network reported late Wednesday night that the Pac-12 needs eight minimum to meet the requirements. What's also of note is Gould saying there is "no set number."

Dennis Dodd of CBS Sports mentioned Memphis and UTSA as possibilities from the AAC, and there are plenty of other realistic options to join the Pac-12.

Teresa Gould and the Pac-12 Conference has undergone a whirlwind of a year. They went from 10 programs leading for the ACC, Big 12 and Big Ten and had plenty of questions about what would happen next.

Now, they are back with six programs, and reportedly, a ton of interest is circulating.
