The stage is set for an intriguing non-conference clash between the No. 6 Missouri Tigers and the No. 24 Boston College Eagles in Week 3. The game is set for Saturday at 12:45 p.m. ET from Missouri's Memorial Stadium.

Boston College currently holds the bragging rights in the series, which includes just one matchup in 2021. The Eagles took down the Tigers 41-34 in head coach Eli Drinkwitz's second season at the helm.

Things look much different on Boston College's sideline this year. Former Penn State and Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien is in the midst of his first season leading the Eagles, who shocked the world with an outright win over Florida State as heavy underdogs in Week 1.

That win has changed the tides of this week's matchup, which David Pollack believes will ultimately come down to balance on both sides of the ball.

"I think Missouri is going to win this game because I think Missouri has more balance," he said on "David Pollack College Football." (Nate) Noel and (Marcus) Carroll running the football. I think defensively their interior, the defensive line, is physical. They're a good unit."

Pollack wouldn't be surprised to see a surge from O'Brien's attack with star quarterback Thomas Castellanos, who caused a slew of issues for the Seminoles defense. The junior holds the third-best quarterback rating in the nation (93.9) and has accounted for seven touchdowns this season as a dual-threat passer.

Castellanos and company will certainly have their hands full against the Missouri defense, which has yet to allow a single point through two games against Murray State and Buffalo.
