Jerry Rice: Mahomes in GOAT Conversation

The Kansas City Chiefs have built a dynasty over the last several seasons, and their superstar quarterback has been at the very center of it.

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated , legendary wide receiver Jerry Rice talked about the greatness of Patrick Mahomes, and he puts him in some very special company.

"Patrick Mahomes would probably say no, but you gotta put him up there now," Rice said. "The dynasty we had for so many years with the San Francisco 49ers, we're starting to see that with the Kansas City Chiefs now... We don't want them to three-peat. We really don't want that to happen."

Rice himself is considered to be the greatest wide out of all time, and he had one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time throwing him the ball in Joe Montana. So if there is one person that knows a thing or two about what greatness looks like, it is Rice.

Mahomes has led the Chiefs to three Super Bowl wins in the last five years, which is more rings than a lot of legends ended their career with. He may only be 28 years old, but it is getting harder and harder to argue against his case for being up there with the GOATs of the sport.

He will be looking to add to his already impressive resume by leading the Chiefs to become the first team to ever win three straight Super Bowls.
