Jason Kelce Makes Bold Statement About Whether He Could Still Play in NFL

Jason Kelce doesn't miss executing the "tush push," but the former Philadelphia Eagles All-Pro feels he could still pull it off if his number were called.

After last season, Kelce decided to retire from football and trade his helmet for a role on ESPN's Monday Night Countdown crew. Kelce spent 12 seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, where he was integral to the team's Super Bowl LII victory and earned seven Pro Bowl selections and six first-team All-Pro honors.

Kelce is set to appear on The Ryen Russillo Podcast, and a preview clip featured a conversation about the tush push.

"Honestly, it looks gruesome and it's a lot of weight, but that was one I was still executing at a really high level," Kelce said. "I think I could still go out there and tush push it. It would be miserable, but I could still get it done."

Kelce can joke about the play, but his lingering injuries are no joke.

"What forced me into retirement were knees that no longer wanted to block guys like Vita Vea and elbows that continually popped and got stuck in certain places," Kelce said.

In addition to his TV duties, Jason Kelce hosts the "New Heights" podcast with his brother, Travis.
