The Kansas City Chiefs got the win in Week 1 of the regular season against the Baltimore Ravens, and JuJu Smith-Schuster also got a win off the field.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the Chiefs veteran wide receiver posted photos of him and his girlfriend, Laura Kurt, just minutes after they got engaged.

"I thank God every day for you," Smith-Schuster wrote in his caption. "Now & Forever."

The veteran wide out was released by the New England Patriots last month, but then got swept up by the reigning Super Bowl champions fairly quickly. The Chiefs wanted to do this so he could provide a veteran presence to their new-look wide receiver corps.

He finished the 2022 season with the Chiefs with 933 receiving yards and three touchdowns, as he helped the team win the Super Bowl. Many thought that JuJu had entered the twilight of his career, but that 2022 season proved that he still has some fuel in the tank.

While he did not record a catch in the team's Week 1 win against the Ravens, he will look to make his impact felt as the Chiefs look to become the first team to ever win three straight Super Bowls.
