Former Pittsburgh Steelers superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown, in a rare show of sincerity on social media, shares an honest message for Tua Tagovailoa following the Miami Dolphins' scary injury Thursday night against the Buffalo Bills.

"In all seriousness, Tua may want to rethink playing football in the future depending on severity," Brown posted on X (formerly Twitter).

"Concussions not something to mess with," Brown warned.

Before that post, Brown wished that Tagovailoa was alright .

Brown has firsthand experience of dealing with a concussion, a head injury that has been scientifically linked to Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy or CTE, which is a "progressive degenerative disease affecting people who have suffered repeated concussions," according to the Indiana University School of Medicine .

Back in 2016, Brown went down with a concussion after getting hit by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict. The injury forced Brown to miss Pittsburgh's next game, which was an AFC Divisional Round matchup.

Chances are Tagovailoa will miss at least the next Dolphins outing due to the latest injury that he suffered during the third quarter of the Bills game. There is also a serious concern about his football career, as he suffered two other concussions back in the 2022 season.

Tagovailoa exited the Bills game, which Miami lost 31-10, with just 145 passing yards and a touchdown, along with three interceptions on 17-of-25 pass completions.

Brown is definitely suffering from the effects of CTE so he knows something about it with his wild mood swings. However from what I’ve heard it can’t be confirmed until after an autopsy of the brain.
