ESPN analyst Dan Mullen recently dropped his predictions for the Week 3 slate in college football.

While the former Florida Gators and Mississippi State head coach is picking the favorite in a handful of contests, like Alabama over Wisconsin and Kansas State over Arizona, he also shared some interesting selections for potential upsets on Saturday.

Mullen believes there's a massive upset brewing in Missouri. The sixth-ranked Tigers are welcoming the 24th-ranked Boston College Eagles, set to face their first-ranked opponent of the season.

He picked the Eagles to take home the victory, but that's not the only upset on the horizon.

The former college football head coach thinks unranked South Carolina will fare well against the No. 16 LSU Tigers. He's taking the Gamecocks to pull off the upset in Week 3.

Boston College has started the season 2-0 behind first-year head coach Bill O'Brien.

The Eagles stomped over Duquesne 56-0 in Week 1 and followed that with one of their biggest victories in program history, a 28-13 win over the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles in Week 2.

O'Brien and Boston College are playing behind the quality play of dual-threat quarterback Thomas Castellanos. The veteran signal-caller has been superb this season.

In the Eagles' 2-0 start, Castellanos has recorded six touchdowns and 340 yards with a 73.1 completion percentage. He's also produced one touchdown and 81 yards on the ground.

In Mullen's second heavy underdog selection, he's taking the South Carolina Gamecocks to win outright with a seven-point spread on the table.

The Gamecocks are also 2-0 on the season. They squeezed out a 23-19 victory over Old Dominion in Week 1 and then surprised the college football world with a dominant performance in Lexington in Week 2.

South Carolina defeated the Kentucky Wildcats 31-6 behind an incredible performance by their defensive front. They have one of the best duos on the defensive line in the country, with true freshman Dylan Stewart and veteran Kyle Kennard.

In their victory over Kentucky, the Gamecocks allowed 44 yards in the passing game, forced two interceptions, and held the Wildcats to converting three of their 14 third-down attempts.

Given the stats and trends for both the Boston College Eagles and South Carolina Gamecocks, Dan Mullen believes they will pull off upsets in Week 3.

I don’t think Boston college will beat Missouri but I do think South Carolina will beat lsu. Lsu just seems to not have any team chemistry this year.
