When Joe Brady took over as offensive coordinator and play-caller for the Buffalo Bills, the team was in disarray. They were barely hanging onto a wild card spot, and the offense looked completely out of sync.

Since that time, though, Brady has helped turn around the Bills, and their overall fortune.

With Brady as the play-caller on offense, the Bills have won eight of their last nine regular-season games dating back to last season. The latest of which came in Buffalo's 31-10 victory over the Miami Dolphins Thursday night in South Florida.

Brady was up to his old bag of tricks early in the contest when, on the first drive of the game, he used James Cook out of the backfield to score from 17 yards out - a play beloved by Buffalo's head coach.

"Great call by Joe (Brady)," Sean McDermott said. "Well-executed timing on that. They brought pressure on that play and again, preparation by Joe and the offensive staff and the players executed."

Preparation and execution are two words that have described Buffalo's offense since Brady arrived. From moving to a group heavily focused on All-Pro wideout Stefon Diggs to a balanced approach, Buffalo has been all the better for it.

And it has them leading the AFC East once again.
