WNBA rising star rookie Angel Reese has generated quite the buzz on and off the court. Currently out with a wrist injury, the reigning NCAA champion keeps fans entertained with her podcast, Unapologetically Angel.

American rapper Polo G recently appeared on the show as a guest. During their conversation, Reese asked the 25-year-old rapper who his NBA comparison is, to which he replied, "Kawhi Leonard."

The Pop-Out hitmaker had an interesting explanation for choosing the Los Angeles Clippers forward. "I'm probably quiet, just like him," Polo G told an animated Reese.

The songwriter suggested his frame and skillset are similar to Kawhi's.

" I'm pretty long, you know, like my arms long," he said. "I'm pretty decent on defense, and, like, I got decent mid-range."

Polo G and Kawhi have a history

Polo G and The Klaw go back a long way, courtesy of the venture Culture Jam, which was initiated by the two-time NBA champion. Launched three years ago, this collaborative venture combines the basketball and musical worlds to connect, create, and empower culture in many forms.

Kawhi's goal with Culture Jam was "celebrating the union of hip-hop, sports and community" and challenging how culture and sports can unite to empower and invigorate their respective scenes and the audiences between them.

The single Waves, featuring Gunna and Polo G, was created through Culture Jam.

Kawhi's way of giving back to the community

Addressing the release of Waves, the project's second single, Kawhi said , "The momentum of Culture Jam keeps building with the release of each song on this very collaborative project."

Leonard's motive for creating Culture Jam and entering the music business is to use his fame to raise funds for charity. After announcing Culture Jam, the Clippers forward stated that " a portion of the proceeds from streaming and downloads of the piece will go to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation ".
