Texas needed big-time performances across the board to leave Ann Arbor with a 31-12 win, and safety Andrew Mukuba was one of the leaders on the defensive side of the ball. The Clemson transfer has hit the ground running with the Longhorns, and he earned the Jim Thorpe Award for the National Defensive Back of the Week after his Week 2 performance.

Mukuba flew all over the field on Saturday, finishing with four total tackles, one pass defense, and an interception. He also led the team with a pristine 84.8 PFF coverage grade, allowing just a 38.3 passer rating in coverage.

As Texas looks ahead to a pivotal matchup against Georgia on October 19, having Mukuba in the secondary gives the Longhorns a massive boost against a Bulldogs' wide receiver room loaded with talent.

Expect Mukuba to continue making huge plays for the Longhorns all season, and as he does, his stock will continue to rise regarding the 2025 NFL Draft.
