Paul Finebaum Deems Wisconsin to be a 'Real' Test for Alabama

Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy met on "Always College Football" to discuss Kalen DeBoer and Alabama football, as DeBoer's team will have their first big test in the 2024 season.

McElroy said that this is not only a unique road trip but a marquee matchup for both programs. McElroy did mention that the last time the programs faced off it ended up a heavily one-sided affair favoring the Tide, but things could be much different this time around.

However, being that DeBoer is new to the gig, this meeting is viewed as a big test for him. Something that led to McElroy asking Finebaum how much DeBoer will be judged based on this game.

"I expect Alabama to look good," Finebaum said . "I expect them to bounce back... it's a real test. Alabama has Georgia, now, in two weeks. So, what do they look like in a hostile setting, against a really good coach in an ascending program? There was a lot not to like on Saturday night against South Florida, but I wouldn't obsess over it."

Alabama did not look as good as they would have liked through three quarters against USF, but the Tide look to bounce back in a huge way in DeBoer's first big test as their head coach on Saturday.
