Anonymous NFL Scout 'Turned Off' by Shedeur Sanders' Behavior After Nebraska Loss

A bit of time remains between now and the 2025 NFL draft, but that doesn't mean evaluators aren't trying to figure out the draft class's best player.

Unlike this past draft, which had a consensus of the No. 1 pick with USC's Caleb Williams, seemingly every mock draft release is different at the top. A handful of teams have a pressing need for quarterbacks, but it's unclear which signal-caller will run away with the top spot.

Colorado's Shedeur Sanders often sits at the top of draft boards, but following his Week 2 showing against Nebraska, that may have changed. On top of what may have been his worst game during his time at Colorado, Sanders' comments after the 28-10 loss rubbed one anonymous scout the wrong way.

"His arm is stronger than it was at Jackson State and he's pretty accurate," the scout told CBS Sports. "I just get turned off by the me, me, me stuff and then when he threw his offensive line under the bus."

When asked by a reporter about the importance of the offense being more balanced moving forward, Sanders answered in a manner that led to many feeling like he blamed the team around him.

"I mean, how many times did (Nebraska quarterback Dylan) Raiola get touched?" Sanders asked. "Of course, when you're able to run the ball consistently, that opens up the pass, you know? But it's just like, you've got to understand what your team's good at. Why would we keep running the ball when we get out there and there's a must-get situation and we don't get it?"

Certainly, not a comment that NFL teams will love, considering the quarterback will talk to the media regardless of outcomes. So, if your quarterback is willing to blame others, it could lead to issues in the locker room.

The opinions from scouts on Sanders range from him being a "good starter" in the NFL to a "functional starter/strong backup," according to the report. However, there is now one common thought about Sanders, which is the fact that teams will want to pay even more attention to how he reacts to adversity moving forward.

He and his Colorado team will look to bounce back in Week 3 against Colorado State.
