Georgia Bulldogs Off-Field Issues Mounting After Another Reckless Driving Arrest

It seems as though the Georgia Bulldogs' off-field issues continue to pile up, and this one may have serious consequences heading into their next game.

You’ve probably heard about the program’s growing list of legal troubles, but this latest arrest involving cornerback Daniel Harris takes it up a notch.

According to a report obtained by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution , Harris was clocked driving at 106 mph on the Athens perimeter late Thursday night, leading to a series of charges, including reckless driving.

Pulled over by Athens-Clarke County Police around 10:05 p.m., Harris was hit with five separate misdemeanor charges, ranging from reckless driving to no proof of insurance.

The sophomore defensive back was booked and later released on bond within the hour, and his immediate playing status remains uncertain.

But here’s where things get more complicated. Georgia’s had a string of legal run-ins this year, with 27 incidents involving players and reckless driving or speeding since January. The tragic deaths of Devin Willock and recruiting staffer Chandler LeCroy in a high-speed crash back in January still linger over the program.

Harris’ arrest, coupled with these ongoing issues, raises fresh concerns as head coach Kirby Smart and Georgia prepare for a tough test against Kentucky this Saturday night. Will Harris be on the field?

The Georgia football team's availability report Friday night may shed some light, but the program has some questions to answer.
