Barrett Sallee Says Spread for Alabama-Wisconsin is 'Disrespectful'

On Saturday morning, the Crimson Tide will enter Camp Randall Stadium for just the second time in school history.

In that game, the Badgers shut out Alabama 15-0, but, in this matchup, the Crimson Tide is favored by more than two touchdowns.

College football analyst Barrett Sallee, who hosts the College Football Covered and Smothered podcast , believes the betting line, set at 16.5 points, is, "disrespectful to Wisconsin."

Alabama is the No. 4 team in the country traveling north to face an unranked Wisconsin team that defeated Western Michigan 28-14 in week one and South Dakota 27-13 in week two.

He didn't hold back his opinion on what he thinks of Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer's squad.

"Alabama is undisciplined, they committed way too many penalties against USF," Sallee said . "They're turnover prone, three fumbles last week."

Sallee adds that up to believe that the Badgers can challenge the Tide on Saturday.

"Think about those two problems: discipline and ball security, going into a game at Camp Randall Stadium," Sallee said. "And you're laying 16.5 points? That's disrespectful to Wisconsin, it's disrespectful to (Wisconsin head coach) Luke Fickell, it's disrespectful to (Badgers quarterback) Tyler Van Dyke, and it's disrespectful to the fans of the Wisconsin Badgers."

It's been nine years since these two programs have faced each other - a 35-15 victory for Alabama in Arlington, Tex.- and all eyes will be on as the Big Ten versus SEC clash begins at 11:00 a.m. Central Time on FOX.
